Our Role: Experiences

The Challenge:

2023 represented the grand post-pandemic return of Republic Bank’s staff calypso competition and after party - “Ruction”. With a short timeline, the bank needed the event to be efficiently branded, coordinated and executed while maintaining the impact of the event. Since ‘Ruction’ is hosted during the busy carnival season, it faces competition from other carnival events and therefore we were tasked with creating an appealing event that would draw in the audience.


  • Created a modernized visual identity for the existing event name “Ruction”, with a new tagline that spoke to the energy of the event
  • Translated the new visual identity throughout the venue decor, signage and accompanying screen graphics
  • Coordinated multiple rehearsals for contestants with the back up band, weeks leading up to the event
  • Updated the layout of the event to avoid use of grassy areas, and to create a comfortable backstage area for competitors and guest artistes
  • Recommended and booked additional musical entertainment who complimented the spirit of the event and captivated the audience as a grand finale


  • Created a memorable experience for staff, their friends and families
  • Over 90% positive feedback of ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ ratings on all elements of the event
  • Significant increase in ticket sales compared to the previous year
